A little light summer reading

So as i've said before i'm currently in college and we have reading that we "have" to read but I also have books that I want to read. I'm kind of a nerd and i'm always reading something, i'm the type of person who always has something in my handbag to read (just in case). So below are some of the books I have on deck for this summer.

• The Carrie Diaries: I've read everything that Candace Bushnell has put out. I have to say that Sex in the City wasn't anything that I thought it would be but I did have fun reading it. Her must recent release before "T.C.D." was One Fifth Avenue, while it wasn't really what I thought it would be, it was great to read durning the summer of last year. "The Carrie Diaries" are about our Ms. Bradshaw before she had her first designer shoes and her first run in with Mr. Big. This book kind of had me at "Carrie Bradshaw as a teenager".
• L.A. Candy & Sweet Little Lies: These are all books from "The Hills" Lauren Conrad. Our L.C. has left the hills and add author to her very full list of things she's doing. I'm almost done with "L.A. Candy" and I have to say it's not bad. It's pretty much the behind the scene's look at "The Hills". So if your a fan of the show (like I am) go pick up the book. I should be done "Candy" and moving right into "Sweet Little Lies".
• Dead in the Family: Can I just say that I love Charlaine Harris's writing, it just keeps me on the edge of my seat with every page. So far I have read every book of hers and last Tuesday her new "Sookie Stackhouse" book came out. If the name Sookie sounds familiar that's because the show on HBO "True Blood" is based on her series. If you love the show (which I do) you HAVE to read her books. The books are more in depth i think then the show and give you much more background. BTW i'm totally team Bill.

London Calling! MAC Haul

So school has really been kicking my butt and i've found that I have really needed a little retail therapy every now and then. But this is really only part of what I have gotten. Stay toned for more goodies to come. But for now lets talk about what I did get! The Liberty Of London collection really had to grow on me. It wasn't like the GaGa Viva Glam lippie which I scooped up right way. No I had to actually talk myself into getting something out of this collection. The real reason that I got a few things was because of the super cute packaging (such a girl thing to say).

So as you can see I got a lot of B.L.U.S.H., only because I don't really have that much blush. I have Warm Soul by MAC but that's it. I think I must really love warm soul because I don't really like any of the ones that I got. Which are: from the Liberty of London collection; Dirty Plum(matte) and Prim & Proper(satin). I also got Style(frost) and Gingerly(sheer tone).

This is Dirty Plum it's just a bit to dark for my skin tone.

It really just looked like I had been punched on my cheeks. Not a good look!

Prim & Proper was one that I was really excited about but left me really wanting more. I think I thought it was going to be my new Warm Soul and because it wasn't as shiny as that I'm not really a fan.

Peachstock was way more nude then I thought it would be with a name like Peachstock. I thought it would be a little more pink. However it does go really well with the dazzleglass creme Sublime Shine together.

My First Haul!

So guys, this is my first haul on my blog that is because I love to shop. But here are just a few goodies that I have picked up.

A few nail polishes that have been on the tips of my fingers are (all OPI) "Mod-ern Girl" & "Russian Navy: Matte", "A Grape Fit!", "Second Honeymoon" .

M0d-ern Girl is currently on my toes, it's great for the summer (yep i jumped right pass spring :0p).

I haven't had on "Russian Navy" mainly because it's currently spring and it's just a tad too dark. However I do have plans for it when football seasons comes round, COWBOYS!

I love "A Grape Fit!",it's a creamy purple and just the best color purple for my skin tone.

I currently have on "Second Honeymoon" and I have been asked so many times "what are you wearing on ur nails", I also think it's a really good color for brides. I actually thought about sending at picture to the b-fry with the quote "whats missing on my finger lol".

Also I finally dipped my toe in the big pond that is "Coastal Scents" and bought the "Creative Me #1" palette.

These colors are BRIGHT & BOLD and that's something that I'm going to get into this summer. But I really got it cause I really wanna do Beyonce's yellow eyeshadow look from the Gaga "Telephone" video.

Like I said this is my very first haul so I hope you guys really like it. Haul's are always my fav. part of a blog. So more to come!

2 birthday faces

So my 26th birthday was 2 weeks ago back on the 12th. I got my makeup done at the Mac store. I was going for Rihanna's "Hard" video. The one when she's rocking the Mickey Mouse ears. I thought it looked so pretty. I also went out with my girls last week and had to do my makeup all by myself :o/. I didn't do anything a good as Rihanna's but i'm learning.

I ♥ Gaga and all that she does. I have her lipstick to prove it ;o), but I have to say that the one face that I will be redoing from this video, would have to be Beyonce's Honey B yellow eye. Take a look for yourself!

In clothing I would have to say that I have a lot of black pieces but I also like the colors as well so I can't really say for sure what the answer to this question is.

9. Do you drink energy drinks?
Nope, well that's not true. I drink the ones that are Juice based but not that often.

10. Do you drink juice?
LOVE J.U.I.C.E.

11. Do you like swimming?
Don't know how to swim but I love looking at the water

Nope, sorry

YES!

I'm a VERY passionate person, when I'm mad everyone knows. It's not pretty, but when I love, I'm all in!

Not really but I do like to watch Supernatural

No, but I do bite the skin around it. It calms me down

19. Have you ever had a near death experience?
Yea, I was on a family trip back from my Grandma's house when our car hit a patch of water on the road and we spun out of control. We went spinning all the way to the other side of the road. If there was any cars coming we would have been hit. We finally stopped in some grass. But the worse part was that my daddy was driving the car behind us and watched the whole thing. So if we all died, he would have watched the whole thing. Lucky we all we're fine.

20. Do you drink coffee?
Not that often but I do love my Starbucks and Caribou Coffee.
